EarthSense Labs CEO Speaks on Digital Twins at India AI Pre-Summit

Our CEO, Nirdesh Kumar Sharma, was invited by the NMCG-IITD-Dutch Collaboratory for Intelligent River Systems and Clean Yamuna (IND-RIVERS) to speak at the India AI Pre-Summit session on Digital Twins and AI.

Understanding True Digital Twins

During his talk, he addressed a common misconception that dashboards are digital twins. A true digital twin requires:

  • A 3D representation of real-world assets
  • Integration with sensors and operational systems
  • AI and physics-based models for decision-making

A digital twin is not a single tool, but an ecosystem of interconnected systems.

GeoTwin 4D Pilot Approach

He also highlighted that cities do not need expensive LiDAR-based twins to begin. Using AI-generated 3D models from satellite imagery and open datasets, cities can start digital twin pilots at nearly one-tenth the cost, and later evolve toward high-fidelity systems.

The full capabilities of GeoTwin 4D will be unveiled at the IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026.
